The Alabama SPCA: UUCT’S November Split-the-Plate Partner
The Alabama Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Alabama SPCA) is based in Tuscaloosa but serves the entire state of Alabama. You can find the most up-to-date information about their activities on Facebook and “like” them at: http://www.alabamaspca.org.
They have three main goals:
- Establish relationships with local agencies and a network of individuals willing to provide temporary foster care for abandoned companion animals until a permanent home can be found.
- Educate and inform the public through a variety of methods to enhance the learning and conduct of all aspects of health, care and welfare of dogs, cats and/or other animals.
- Advocate against the needless euthanizing of abandoned pets by promoting spay and neuter, increasing public awareness and fostering a culture of kindness to animals.
Donations can be made through Facebook using (Paypal). Checks or cash not designated for pledge or other specific needs are split with Alabama SPCA. To make a 100% donation to the organization, envelopes are available on the foyer table. Address information is as follows:
