Circle Supper

Keep an eye out on newsnet or contact David Kopaska-Merkel to find out when our next Circle Supper will be hosted. Circle Suppers are informal gatherings at the homes of UU members or friends. It’s time to do this again, so I’m asking for anybody who is interested in hosting, to please get in touch with me. The hosts organize the meal, which is a modified potluck. Participants bring various dishes, but the hosts coordinate them to make sure that we don’t get all desserts or all meat.

Circle suppers are among the most fun things that we do, so be sure you get in on the action. It is a good way to get to know people, or to get to know them better. And of course, there is always great food.

Women’s Yoga

Please join us for a gentle hatha yoga class, suitable for all levels, where we practice accessible asanas (yoga postures) with modifications for every ability.  We also will practice some pranayama (breathing exercises) and some meditation in this class.  The restorative part of the class is a refresh or reboot for the body and mind — perfect for the New Year.  Restorative yoga typically involves four or fives poses supported by props that allow for complete rest and relaxation.  These poses are held for 4-5 minutes and include light twists and gentle backbends.  Everyone is welcome.  Please bring a mat if you have one. Questions?  Contact Beki Spurrier

Women’s Sun Circle

The Women’s Sun Circle meets once a month for a potluck with meaningful discussion to follow. All women – members and visitors – are welcome.
