September Split the Plate Partner – Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl

For over thirty years, the Tuscaloosa Community Soup Bowl has been serving meals to those in need in the Tuscaloosa area. Several area churches support this cooperative effort to help alleviate problems associated with poverty including hunger and homelessness.
The Community Soup Bowl receives food donations from the West Alabama Food Bank and local groups. They serve close to 300 plates each day, and the need is extensive. They depend on volunteers to keep the doors open seven days a week.
