UUCT’S May Split-the-Plate Partner

Hospice of West Alabama (HOWA) is a non-profit, community-based hospice provider that has served Bibb, Greene, Hale, Pickens, Lamar, and Tuscaloosa counties since 1982. As one of the oldest hospices in Alabama, they provide support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. In addition to working with patients in their own homes, HOWA has a 15-bed inpatient facility located in Tuscaloosa. HOWA sponsors grief counseling and support and also trains volunteers to work with others.
