It’s time to do this again, so I’m asking for anybody who is interested in hosting, to please get in touch with me. The hosts organize the meal, which is a modified potluck. Participants bring various dishes, but the hosts coordinate them to make sure that we don’t get all desserts or all meat.\u00a0 The Writer’s Group meets every Third Sunday after Service. Bring something you’ve written to share with the group. Please plan to speak for no more than five minutes. This is an opportunity for women to come together and discuss books in a safe environment. Please contact Beki Spurrier for more information.<\/p>\n Please join us for a gentle\u00a0hatha\u00a0yoga class, suitable for all levels, where we practice accessible asanas (yoga postures) with modifications for every ability.\u00a0 We also will practice some pranayama (breathing exercises) and some meditation in this class.\u00a0 The restorative part of the class is a refresh or reboot for the body and mind — perfect for the New Year.\u00a0 Restorative yoga typically involves four or fives poses supported by props that allow for complete rest and relaxation.\u00a0 These poses are held for 4-5 minutes and include light twists and gentle backbends.\u00a0 Everyone is welcome.\u00a0 Please bring a mat if you have one.
