The UUCT Board is so proud to announce that we have nominated Lynn Snow as the January and February Volunteer of the Month.

Lynn has worn so many hats over the last few years from leading our local Zen Songha each Sunday morning to acting as Worship Committee Chair for quite some time. Her time is also split between working for the University of Alabama and working with the local Veterans Hospital here in Tuscaloosa.

When asked how she wound up here at UUCT Lynn shared: “I believe Laura and I approached UUCT to inquire if they would host our meditation group in 2014, and everyone graciously welcomed us. I joined UUCT about a year later in 2015. Being part of and serving a community is a win-win.

To potential volunteers I’d say that any little bit helps. UUCT folks deeply understand how busy and stretched most people are these days, and are appreciative of any gesture — it may feel small to you but the net effect for the community will be greater than you can know”. It is obvious that Lynn’s heart is here and we so appreciate each moment she is able to squeeze out of a very busy and committed life to work for us.

Congratulations, Lynn.
