Originally formed as the Tuscaloosa $10.10 Minimum Wage Coalition, the Tuscaloosa Economic Justice Coalition is a grassroots organization of local people advocating for economic fairness for all people in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and the United States. Coalition members are active on the issue of raising the minimum wage.  UUCT Social Justice Team members have provided leadership in the founding and growth of the Tuscaloosa Economic Justice Coalition.  In May 2016, Joe Keffer, labor organizer and member of the Coalition, presented a special May Day worship service honoring workers.
